The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a verdant inland delta formed by the mighty Okavango River flowing into the Kalahari Desert, a unique ecosystem shaped by annual floodwaters from Angola and channels engineered by hippos and elephants. The lush Okavango Delta teems with diverse wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino), wild dog, cheetah, hippo and pangolin.
Vilanculos is a small Mozambique seaside town and gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. Easily accessible from Maputo and even via some direct international flights, Vilanculos offers clear waters, coral reefs, and palm-fringed beaches and has plenty of bars and restaurants with exquisite sea views and traditional Mozambican cuisine. The area offers excellent watersport activities, snorkelling and scuba diving, especially as you head closer to the archipelago.
