Trust us to find you the rarest animals, the most spectacular wildlife events, the remotest landscapes and deeply meaningful cultural encounters!
Trekking mountain gorillas is heralded as one of the most exhilarating bucket-list experiences in the world. There can be no better place to experience the gorillas than in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the birthplace of mountain-gorilla trekking.
Allow us to show you the most magical aspects of Uganda. Aside from tracking a family of mountain gorillas, you’ll take time exploring the jungle paradise of Bwindi.
You’ll also spend time with the Keepers of the Forest – the Batwa people, and get to know their culture and history. This safari also allows you to seek out the tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and to explore the biodiversity of Entebbe Botanical Gardens.
Trek through the dense rainforest of Bwindi to come face-to-face with endangered mountain gorillas.
Experience the raw wilderness of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions.
Explore Bwindi’s vibrant ecosystems on guided forest walks, spotting diverse birdlife and primates.
Immerse yourself in local life with Batwa community visits and a hands-on coffee tour.
Stay in intimate eco-lodges perfectly positioned in the forest with sweeping views and direct access to adventure.
Entebbe is a vibrant city on Lake Victoria's shores, known for its lush gardens, rich history, and excellent restaurants. It is also home to the country's main international airport. Entebbe is a short drive (traffic-dependent) from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, which offers urban attractions such as markets, museums, and cultural sites.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (via Queen Elizabeth NP’s Ishasha sector) is a UNESCO World Heritage rainforest and one of the last remaining sanctuaries for mountain gorillas. The Ishasha sector en route adds a chance to spot iconic tree-climbing lions. Bwindi’s misty slopes shelter the endangered mountain gorilla and offer some of Africa's best gorilla trekking opportunities. The region also offers excellent birdwatching, cultural experiences, coffee tours, and scenic hikes.
1 night at Karibu Entebbe: A charming boutique retreat with tranquil gardens and warm hospitality.
4 nights at Buhoma Lodge: Eco-chic accommodation within the park, offering forest views, private verandas, and direct access to gorilla trekking trails.
Uganda is a year-round safari destination. The best trekking conditions are during the dry months from June to September and December to February, when trails are firmer, and wildlife viewing is at its peak. The wetter months (March to May, October to November) bring lush landscapes, fewer visitors, and excellent birding opportunities.
