Lower Zambezi National Park, on Zambia’s Zambezi River opposite Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools, and South Luangwa National Park in Zambia’s Luangwa Valley, offer vast, biodiverse ecosystems of rivers, floodplains, woodlands and remote wilderness, home to prolific wildlife, rich birdlife, and immersive safari experiences.
3 nights at Chiawa Camp: is located in the middle of prime wildlife and habitat zones of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The camp has nine ultimate safari tents that provide a sanctuary of luxury and tranquillity.
3 nights at Puku Ridge: Nestled deep within the stunning South Luangwa National Park, each of the eight luxury safari tents is set on an elevated ridge overlooking plains and woodlands, blending style and comfort with nature.
The dry season (May-October) offers peak wildlife viewing in South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi, especially August–October. The wet season (November-April) transforms landscapes into lush, bird-rich habitats but can limit road access, making dry months ideal for safaris and wetter months perfect for birdwatching and vibrant scenery.
Once we know more about your experience wish-list and ideal timing, we will tailor-make this safari idea to deliver the holiday of a lifetime for you and your family.

Stefan Winterboer, Zambia safari expert: "Sitting high above the Luangwa, surrounded by low trees, I watched sixty hippos below and two fishermen mending their nets-my soul felt like it was soaking into the place."
Our Safari Concierge, Tracie Walker, says, “Words don’t do Lower Zambezi justice. I spent river cruises quietly floating past elephants swishing reeds in the river while eagles cried and the sun set over the escarpment, paddled past hippos, and rarely encountered another vehicle. Paradise.”
Our Destination expert, Nadia Lautenbach, says, "Round off your safari and add a few nights in Kafue National Park, creating the ultimate Zambian experience."

Handcrafted experiential safaris since 1991.
Travel in Africa is about knowing when and where to go, and with whom. A few weeks too early/late or a few kilometres off course, and you could miss the greatest show on Earth. And wouldn’t that be a pity?
