Astonishing wildlife diversity – In addition to the Big 5 (rhino, lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo), other iconic species to look out for include cheetah, wild dog, hyena, and so much more. For those travelling from August to October, there is the added attraction of dramatic scenes as the huge herds of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River - despite the considerable risk of drowning and crocodile attacks.
Bush and beach – nothing is quite as satisfying after a safari as feeling the sand between your toes, warm ocean water and a hammock in a cool breeze.
Stone Town – the cultural heart of Zanzibar - features narrow, winding, cobbled streets and historical architecture. Wandering through its bustling bazaars, study the intricate doorways, visit historic sites, and sample local cuisine.
