Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is set high on a plateau within its own private game reserve, overlooking a busy waterhole and the Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls itself is a short drive away, accessible via a complimentary shuttle service. Although close to the Falls, the lodge is far enough away to be beyond the noise generated during the busy tourism hours.
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a large thatch and timber building under the shade of massive trees. The rooms all have private balconies, most of which overlook the waterhole below. Frequent visitors to the waterhole include herds of buffalo, elephant and kudu, as the sun goes down, and hyenas later in the evening. There is a swimming pool and sun deck and many communal areas with free WiFi, including restaurants, bars, TV lounge, Internet lounge and library.
All rooms have digital safes, IDD phones, remote control air conditioning, hairdryers, fans, mosquito nets, an extensive range of customized toiletries including insect repellent, message pads, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and extra length beds.
Acivities within the private game reserve include visits to the waterhole hide, guided walks and nature trails and a vulture educational experience. Additional activities to be booked with the concierge include white water rafting, canoeing, helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls, game drives, sunset cruises, bunjee jumping and gorge swings. Guests may use the lodge’s complimentary shuttle bus to visit the Victoria Falls Rainforest.
